I got a little ahead of myself

  I guess before I go off on a rant about the hair industry, I should introduce myself. I fully do not intend on posting loads of pictures of myself but in order to have a better understanding, here is one of my bridal portraits; I just got married September 23, 2011 to the sweetest man. I loved wearing a bird cage veil because I felt it was understated but still classy. I love doing bridal hair and make-up and look forward to more updos and make-up trails for other bride's big day.

This is only the beginning

Since acquiring my bachelor of arts in communication in journalism, I thought it only appropriate to somehow combine both writing and the hair industry. A blog is supposed to be about true, raw honesty found in everyday life, and that is what I hope to display. There are many wonderful things about being hairstylist (meeting new people everyday, creating something different for someone, making people feel good) but let's face it, life is simply not how we try to display it on our Facebooks. It's a bit messy and unpredictable, we have off days and days where we feel like we are ready to tackle anything; but amongst all of this, I hope to create some beautiful hair, some beautiful make-up, and document the truth behind what it is like to build a clientele.
